"Sarah Pound has a knack for drawing the audience in... She gave the impression that we were more than faces to whom albums are sold, indeed she wanted to share with us her most carefully constructed thoughts and feelings. Storytellers are often a powerful bunch, and Sarah Pound can count herself as more than a musician; she's a performer. Her capable hands seemed equally comfortable strolling across the guitar neck as they did twiddling the valves on the trumpet, and effortlessness was the polish that made her voice and stories shine."
