Marcie Clowry
Harmony vocals, guitar
Marcie Clowry is the artistic eye behind the band’s ever-evolving sunshiny image. She studied film at Ryerson University and has followed her passion for music production, songwriting, and harmony, making her powerhouse vocals an essential colour in The Sequels’ soulful, uplifting sound, and a driving force behind the band’s creative vision.
Long before Sarah Pound and The Sequels manifested in April of 2024, Clowry and Pound had been collaborating as close friends and musicians since the early 2000s. Clowry sang for each of Pound’s album releases and also filmed and produced the music video for Sarah Pound’s “Swing on Your Swing”, which came out on Pound’s Capacity album in 2015.
Clowry often plays acoustic guitar and occasional auxiliary percussion in the band and joins Sarah in the creative nuance to many of the arrangements. You can hear Marcie Clowry on the live recording of their August, 2025, concert at The Port’s outdoor stage, featured on the Music Page.
